Part of our guide: How to manage a remote team in the Philippines
A quarterly review turns weekly feedback into growth. This template keeps it fair and specific. Part of our managing remote PH teams guide.
What should you review?
Score each area 1–4 (1 = needs significant improvement, 4 = consistently exceeds) with one example each.
- Outcomes: did agreed workflows get done on time?
- Quality: rework needed, errors caught by review.
- Reliability: attendance, punctuality, handling of outages.
- Communication: clarity of summaries, raising issues early.
- Judgment: escalating the right things, following decision rights.
- Initiative: process improvements suggested or made.
How do you avoid bias?
Use examples from the whole period, not just the last two weeks. Compare against written expectations, not against yourself. Ask the assistant to self-review first using the same form.
What should come out of the review?
- Two strengths to build on.
- One or two specific improvement goals with a date.
- One new responsibility or skill to develop.
- What support they need from you.
